Welcome to Desert Equine, your resource to learn the First Aid skills, that will help you know how to fix up your horse in their time of need. I’m Jayna, owner of Desert Equine, LLC and certified Equi-First Aid USA instructor for Basic, Advanced, Wilderness, and Backcountry First Aid courses. My horsemanship back ground includes, colt starting, reining, rodeo queening, roping, and ranching.

Living in a rural slice of heaven is living the dream, until one of our horses gets hurt and the nearest vet is 3 hours away. Attending an equine first aid course was one of the best decisions I made for my herd and my community. Now I can help my horses in their time of need, and know when I need to get a vet involved or not. I am excited to start sharing that knowledge with you!

Regardless if you’re five minutes, or five hours from a vet, becoming a skilled first responder for your horse can save their life. From the show barn, to the backcountry, to the stall you thought was practically bullet proof, you never know when your horse might need first aid.
